A new state-of-the-art bar offering fancy cocktails, delicious dishes and a whole host of themed events will soon be opening in Louth.

Bar Boulevard is set to open towards the end of the year in Aswell Street opposite the Ranch Steakhouse & Grill - and husband and wife Oliver and Abigail Crossland, who also run the American-themed restaurant across the road, couldn't be more excited.

Oliver said customers will be able to enjoy small plates of food, some completely original and some inspired by the most popular Ranch dishes, adapted for Boulevard. There will also be a Gin Club and a dancing area, perfect to let your hair down after a few cocktails.

He told Grimsby Live: "We're really, really excited. We're aiming to open towards the end of the year. We're going for a cocktail bar which will have a big range of fancy drinks that you expect in big cities, and they'll all be unique in their own way.

"It's going to be the same high standard as The Ranch in terms of the quality of food and drinks. We'll be doing small plates - some Ranch classics adapted for Boulevard, as well as our own dishes. We're planning on doing Gin Club and things like that, as well as themed events.

"There's going to be high seating and booth seating, as well as an area where you can have a dance after having a cocktail. We'll have DJs on in there. It'll be very different from The Ranch, as it's a bar and not a full-blown restaurant."

Bar Boulevard will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on weekends from midday until late.

Oliver continued: "When the building became available we all sat down and discussed if it would be something we could do, and we took the opportunity straight away. We've wanted to do something like this for a long time.

"We've had The Ranch now for 11 years and we moved in 2019 to bigger premises. Since then we've grown stronger and stronger, we dealt with Covid really well and we were lucky to come out of that strong.

"I think it's going to go really well. There's a great range of bars in Louth now anyway, and Boulevard will slot perfectly in the middle."
